Powering India's
Clean Energy
Future with
Innovation and
Scale
Q. Skkytop...recentl ...an-
nounced plans to reach 1.5 GW
manufacturing
capacity
by
2026. Besides expanding physi-
cal lines, what new partner-
ships, investments, or techno-
logical standards will underpin
this growth?
Skkytop is steadily expanding its
manufacturing
capacity
one
strategic step at a time.
Currently, we are focused on
scaling
up
production
for
higher-capacity solar modules,
particularly those rated above
650+ Wp. This expansion will
result in one of Western Gujarat’s
most advanced AI-driven manu-
facturing
facilities,
enabling
precision,
automation,
and
efficiency across all stages of
production.
Looking ahead, our goal is to
foster long-term OEM partner-
ships anchored in mutual growth
and innovation. We are commit-
ted to delivering product excel-
lence by focusing on unmatched
quality and efficiency, while
consistently
exceeding
global
standards and benchmarks.
Q. What R&D breakthroughs
such as next-gen bifacial cells,
tandem designs, or integrated
smart sensors are you aiming to
incorporate in the next 18
months?
Over the next 18 months, our
vision is to showcase our unwav-
ering commitment to quality and
innovation.
By adopting G12R solar cells and
launching advanced glass-glass
module variants, we are embrac-
ing the next generation of PV
technology. These models offer
enhanced durability, improved
performance in extreme condi-
tions, and a longer lifespan key
factors that align with evolving
global expectations.
With this strategic move, we aim
to position ourselves as India’s
fastest-growing PV module OEM
delivering not just products, but
cutting-edge solutions that define
the future of solar energy.
Q. With
schemes
like
PM-KUSUM fueling renewable
energy demand in India, what
specific
policy
levers
or
state-level
incentives
could
further
accelerate
your
pipeline?
Government
initiatives
like
PM-KUSUM
are
propelling
India’s renewable energy sector
to new heights.
These programs are not only
transforming rural energy access
but also laying the groundwork
for a cleaner, more sustainable
future.
However,
a
major
challenge faced by solar PV
module manufacturers is the
limited domestic availability of
critical raw materials. This short-
age
often
leads
to
missed
deadlines, delayed installations,
and inadequate on-ground execu-
tion, all of which hinder the
achievement of ambitious nation-
al renewable energy targets.
To truly unlock the sector’s
potential, India must prioritize
the establishment of multiple raw
material
manufacturing
units
within the country. This strategic
move
would
reduce
import
dependency,
stabilize
supply
chains, and significantly acceler-
ate the growth of the domestic
renewable energy industry.
Q. The industry is rapidly
shifting towards hybrid energy
systems and storage. How is
Skkytop approaching integra-
tion with battery storage or
microgrid solutions to offer
bundled clean-energy kits?
India is on the path to becoming a
global leader in the renewable
energy sector.
With the deployment of hybrid
systems and increasing invest-
ments in energy storage and
infrastructure, the transformation
from conventional to renewable
energy is well underway. This
shift is not just a trend it’s a
necessity for a sustainable future.
At Skkytop, our core focus
remains on delivering high-quali-
ty solar PV modules, recognizing
that a reliable and efficient
module is the backbone of any
renewable energy system. As the
world embraces clean energy, the
demand for superior module
technology will become a univer-
sal prerequisite.
By investing in advanced manu-
facturing
and
consistently
upholding
global
quality
standards, we aim to position our
modules as a trusted choice in the
global clean energy transition.
