JAKSON ENGINEERS LIMITED TO INVEST ₹8,000+ CRORE

IN 6 GW INTEGRATED SOLAR MANUFACTURING

PLANT IN MADHYA PRADESH

Jakson Engineers Limited, part of

the leading energy and infrastruc-

ture solutions conglomerate Jakson

Group, is investing over ₹8,000

crore to establish a 6 GW Integrated

Solar Module, Cell & Wafer plant at

Maksi Phase II, Madhya Pradesh.

This is the largest solar manufactur-

ing investment in the state, marking

a significant milestone for both the

company and India’s renewable

energy sector.

The mega project will be developed

in two phases across a 110-acre site,

allocated to the company recently.

Commencing site activities within

15 days, the company will commis-

sion manufacturing capacity of 3

GW of solar modules and 3 GW of

solar cells in Phase I, with an

investment of around Rs 2,000

Crore. Phase II will include estab-

lishment of 6 GW solar wafers plant

along

with

additional

3

GW

modules and cells each, at an

investment of over Rs 6,000 crore.

The first modules from the plant are

expected to roll out by May 2026

followed by Cells in September

2026 supporting India’s vision of

Aatmanirbhar Bharat.

“This is a momentous occasion for

our company and a major leap

forward

for

India's

renewable

energy sector,” said Mr. Sundeep

Gupta, Vice Chairman of Jakson

Group. “Our investment in Maksi is

testament

to

our

unwavering

commitment to 'Make in India' and

directly supports the nation's ambi-

tious clean energy targets. We are

confident that with the support of

the Madhya Pradesh government,

this plant will become a beacon of

technological excellence and a

catalyst for creating green jobs.”

Mr. Gagan Chanana, Joint Manag-

ing Director & CEO of Jakson Solar

Modules and Cells, emphasized the

strategic importance of the plant,

stating, “The global demand for

solar energy is soaring. Our fully

integrated

facility

and

unique

'four-in-one' business model as a

manufacturer, developer, EPC, and

O&M provider, aims to contribute

to meeting India's energy needs and

help position the country as a global

solar leader. This allows us to

ensure quality, cut costs, and rapid-

ly deploy new technology, boosting

our energy security and self-reli-

ance.”

Madhya Pradesh was selected for

this landmark project due to its

strategic central location, robust

infrastructure,

investor-friendly

ecosystem, and progressive renew-

able energy policies. The plant will

create a positive socio-economic

impact in the region by generating

over 1,000 jobs during the construc-

tion phase and employing around

1,400 people once operational.

Aligned with Hon’ble Prime Minis-

ter’s goal of achieving 500 GW of

renewable energy capacity by 2030,

this initiative will play a pivotal

role in reducing import dependence,

strengthening India’s domestic solar

ecosystem, and accelerating the

country’s

transition

towards

a

sustainable, low-carbon future.

This initiative is a key component

of Jakson’s long-term growth strate-

gy and underscores its commitment

to sustainable development, techno-

logical innovation, and India’s

clean energy future. I
